Over the years, we’ve seen several clients with both back pain and ankle issues and while it may come as a surprise to many, those issues can be totally related.

An Osteopath will analyze your body to figure out what caused your concern and how it affects your body overall. Most lesions are ascending (came from below; the ankle or foot) or are descending and came from above (a blow from above; the head or shoulder, etc.). If your back is assessed but then your hip, sacrum or low back is treated and it is not moving as expected, we’ll also assess the head and feet and see where it might be coming form.

The 1, 2 or 3 times you have stumbled and strained, sprained or even broke your ankle (ouch!) and thought it didn’t matter long term…. well it may be the reason your back hurts. Osteopaths often treat ankles and feet and as a result, the back/hip issue gets better. Of course there are other parts to the session and Wilson Wellness always integrates it with other parts of the body so things stay in their new places (which were their old correct places).

So, if you have feet with long term pain, bunions or arch issues, consider setting an appointment because it makes a big difference and can change someone’s life to walk pain free.

Blessings to all as always!
